In this painting, I looked at myself without resorting to metaphor.

The surreal face of the author, my own, floats in silence with a halo that does not promise holiness. The red beard is not a random colour here; it is a trace of the fire that burns within me.

‘Redhead Burns Fire’ is a story about an inner flame, about tension that warms, sometimes destroys, but also gives light.

The painting was created entirely during a single, spontaneous act of painting without corrections, without a plan, guided by intuition and the moment.
