The Pentagram Pendant by Zahario
This unique pendant is handcrafted from silver and has undergone a process of oxidation and intentional aging. The surface is neither smooth nor perfect; on the contrary, it bears clear traces of tool marks, scuffs, and irregular textures that give it a raw, authentic character.
The pentagram, a symbol with centuries of history, takes on a new form here—one that is wilder, less obvious, and full of depth. The darkened indentations contrast with the lighter edges, giving the design clarity and a sense of depth.
Each piece is unique; differences in texture and the degree of oxidation mean that no two pendants are identical.
Today I returned to silver once again—not the pure, flawless kind that people so eagerly admire in shop windows. My silver must go through something more—through fire, through the touch of a tool, through my own restlessness. I took a piece of metal and began to shape it, slowly, almost stubbornly. I knew it would become a pentagram. A symbol as old as fear and hope combined. I didn’t want it to be perfect.
I etched its arms with a blade, deliberately too deep, until the surface began to resemble scars. Each cut was like a record of a moment—nervous, heavy, real. Then came the time for fire and chemicals. Oxidation gnawed into the silver, darkened it, bringing out what was hidden in the scratches and indentations. Light no longer glides over it; now it lingers in the crevices. It is scarred, as if it had survived something it doesn’t want to talk about. And yet there is peace in this rawness. As if every mark were necessary. As if beauty did not lie in smoothness, but in what has been marred and yet survived.

About Zahario Jewelry
Zahario’s original jewelry is characterized by precision and artistic craftsmanship. It is free of kitsch or exaggeration, yet it is marked by a tremendous dose of imagination bordering on madness. Full of symbols, oddities, and creatures—as if from a dream or a poem.
It is also a profound reflection on life, transience, and the experiences that shape a person. Every Zahario piece should be treated as a metaphor.
There is a lot of sadness in Zahario’s work, but it is not typical dark jewelry.
Although it’s hard to avoid associations with death, there is a seed of immortality and faith in everlasting beauty within it.
The dimensions of the earrings may vary slightly due to the individual craftsmanship of each piece.
